Meet the Director

Ashrafun Nahar Leuza is a poet, writer, and a respected film critic. She has been writing poetry for many years and has gained recognition for her thoughtful essays and creative writings. As an art critic, especially in the field of cinema, she has made significant contributions through her insightful film reviews and critical works. Her writings have been published in various newspapers, magazines, and journals in Bangladesh and abroad. She is also the author of several books.

Ashrafun Nahar Leuza has worked as a Creative Director on several award-winning documentary films, including Songs for a Country, a documentary inspired by The Concert for Bangladesh. Her creative vision and passion for storytelling have contributed to meaningful film projects.

Alongside her literary and artistic work,  Ashrafun Nahar Leuza is also a yoga model and fitness expert. She believes that maintaining both physical and mental well-being helps people stay focused, improve the quality of their work, and enhance creativity.

Dedicated to various social and community-focused initiatives,  Ashrafun Nahar Leuza continues to contribute her knowledge, creativity, and experience to society. She is one of the founders of New York Film Foundation Inc. and currently serves as a Director and Secretary of the organization.
